ABC – EU-supported project
The Music Theater Figaros has been leading an ambitious EU-supported project in collaboration
with partners from Denmark, Portugal, and Italy.
The project has aimed to connect young families with early years children through music and
community, breaking down cultural barriers.
Artistic Beginnings in Co-Creation (ABC) is an innovative initiative designed to develop
and test new training methods for artists and educators
The ABC Project concludes with a booklet release
The booklet shares key insights and experiences from the project, along with hands-on exercises ready to be passed on. It all comes with a foreword by Birgitte Holt Nielsen, Deputy Director of Figaros and coordinator of the entire project.
The booklet is in English.

The primary goal has been to empower professionals to create inclusive community music
projects for young families with limited access to cultural activities.
“It’s about finding new and innovative ways to train artists in opera, music, and theater.
Our goal has been to equip them to launch community projects that reach families and careres of
young children, who otherwise rarely get to experience cultural events,” says Birgitte Holt Nielsen, project leader, producer at Figaros, and head of Figaros’ outreach department, KulturCentralen.
